Sloan-C Research Symposium - Policy

Online education exists in a highly regulated environment. At every stage from course development to course delivery there are policies governing what is appropriate and what may not be so. That online education crosses many jurisdictional boundaries only adds to the complexity of managing policies. This Research Symposium, the last of the 2012 Sloan Consortium Research Symposia series, will bring together experts representing various perspectives on the issue of policy in online education.

The Symposium will be an interactive panel discussion, initially focusing on policy aspects of current leading edge issues such as assessment, access, and state authorization. The Sloan Consortium Commons is open for participants to provide questions for panelists and will stay open subsequent to the Symposium for on-going discussion of issues raised during the online event.
